Creating and Managing Tags

Tags help you categorize and organize advocates, prospects, and conversations. Each tag can have a custom color for easy visual identification.

Creating Tags

Go to Settings > Tags in your admin portal
Click New Tag
Enter a name and choose a color
Select the display type (internal or public)
Save

Tag Types

You can create tags for:

Advocates - Categorize your advocates (e.g., “Spanish Speaking”, “Premium”)
Prospects - Track prospect status or interests
Conversations - Organize conversations by topic or status
Introductions - Track introduction stages

Tag Options

Color - Pick any color for visual identification
Icon - Add an optional icon
Display type - Internal (admin-only) or public-facing
Pin color override - Make this tag affect map pin colors
Advocates can suggest - Let advocates suggest adding or removing this tag on their own profile (advocate tags only, and not for internal tags). Off by default.
AI can suggest - Reserved for upcoming AI suggestions. It does nothing yet. Off by default.

Ordering Tags

Tags are listed under group headings. When you create a tag, its group comes from the part of its name before the slash, so type/dealer is listed under Type; tags without a slash are listed under General. Renaming a tag later does not move it to another group.

Use the up and down arrows to move a tag within its group. Tags are ordered by group first, then by the order you set within each group, and that order is used throughout the system.

Map Pin Colors

Tags can override the default map pin color. Enable “Override Default Pin Color” on a tag to make advocates with that tag show a different colored pin on the map.

If an advocate holds more than one pin-color tag, the first one in tag order wins. Tag order runs by group first, then by tag within that group (see “Ordering Tags” above). The Pin Colors card on Settings > Branding > Map lists all pin-color tags in this winning order, between an advocate’s custom pin color and the default pin color, and links back here to change it.
