Managing Prospects
Add, search, and organize the people your advocates connect with. Prospects are the individuals who receive introductions and participate in conversations.
Viewing and Searching Prospects
- Go to Prospects in the navigation
You see a paginated table of all prospects. By default, the list shows prospects with Active or Pending status.
Searching
- Enter a name or phone number in the search bar at the top of the list
- Press Enter or wait for results to appear
Search uses trigram matching, so it handles partial matches and minor typos. You can search by first name, last name, or phone number.
Filtering by Status
- Click the Status dropdown above the prospect list
- Select one of the available filters: Active, Pending, Inactive, or All
The count next to each status shows how many prospects match that filter.
Creating a Prospect
- From the Prospects page, click Add Prospect
- Enter the prospect’s First Name (required)
- Optionally enter a Last Name
- Enter a Phone Number (required)
- Optionally enter an Email Address
- Select any Tags you want to apply
- Click Create
The prospect is created with an Active status, and their phone number is automatically marked as verified by an admin.
Each phone number and email address must be unique within your community. You cannot create a prospect with a phone number or email that already belongs to another prospect.
Editing a Prospect
- Open a prospect’s detail page by clicking their name in the table
- Click Edit Details
- Update the prospect’s name, phone number, email address, or tags
- Click Update
Prospect Status
Each prospect has one of three statuses:
- Pending - The prospect has been created but has not yet been fully set up or verified.
- Active - The prospect is active and can participate in conversations and introductions.
- Inactive - The prospect is no longer active. Inactive prospects are hidden from the default list view but can be found using the All or Inactive status filter.
Blocking and Unblocking Prospects
You can block or unblock a prospect within a specific conversation. Blocking is per-conversation, not a global action - a prospect blocked in one conversation can still participate in other conversations.
- Open the conversation
- Click the more actions menu
- Select Block Prospect or Unblock Prospect
- Confirm when prompted
Blocked prospects cannot send messages in that conversation until unblocked.
Both admins and advocates can block or unblock a prospect within a conversation they have access to.
