Searching Conversations

Find conversations by participant names, phone numbers, or message content using the search bar and status filters on the Conversations page.

Searching by Name or Phone Number

Type a name or phone number into the search bar to find matching conversations. The search checks the following fields on both the prospect and the advocate:

• First name
• Last name
• Phone number (full or partial)

Search is case-insensitive and supports fuzzy matching, so small typos still return relevant results.

Examples

• Phil Jones - find conversations where the prospect or advocate is named Phil Jones
• 4155551234 - find conversations involving that phone number
• Alice - find conversations where any participant’s first or last name matches Alice

Searching Within Messages

Use the message: prefix to search the content of messages within conversations.

• message:Hello - find conversations that contain a message with the word “Hello”
• message:appointment status:all - find all conversations mentioning “appointment” regardless of status

This searches across every message in each conversation and returns the conversations that contain matching content.

Status Filtering

Use the Status dropdown to narrow results by conversation status. Available options are:

• Active - ongoing conversations with recent activity
• Pending - conversations awaiting a response
• Closed - conversations that have been marked as complete
• All - show every conversation regardless of status

When no status filter is applied, the default view shows active and pending conversations.

You can also type status filters directly in the search bar using status:active, status:closed, or combine them with status:active,pending.

Combining Search and Filters

Search terms and status filters work together. The structured query syntax lets you compose precise searches in a single query.

A few combined examples:

• Phil status:active - find active conversations involving someone named Phil
• status:closed message:resolved - find closed conversations with a message containing “resolved”
• Jones status:all - find all conversations regardless of status where a participant is named Jones

Pagination

Results are paginated with 25 conversations per page by default. Use the per page selector to switch between 25, 50, or 100 results per page. Conversations are sorted by most recent message, with the newest activity appearing first. Navigate between pages using the Previous and Next controls.
