Prospect Data Import & Export
Import or export prospect data as CSV files.
Where to Find It
Go to Settings > Data > Prospects to access the import and export tools.
Exporting Prospects
Export all prospects with their name, email, phone number, status, verification status, conversation count, and creation date.
Steps
- Go to Settings > Data > Prospects
- Under Export, click Download Prospects CSV
- A CSV file downloads with your prospect data
Importing Prospects
Upload a CSV file to create prospects in bulk. If a prospect with a matching email or phone number already exists, they will not be duplicated.
Expected CSV Columns
The CSV should include a header row with these columns:
first_name,last_nameemail_address,phone_numbertags— tag paths separated by;(e.g.,model/q45; role/vip)
Each entry in the
tagscolumn can be a tag’s path (model/q45), a bare tag name (q45) if only one group has a tag by that name, or the tag’s display name. A bare name held by tags in two different groups is reported as an error for that row. Write the path to fix it.Entries that don’t match an existing prospect tag are skipped. Prospect import never creates tags.
CSV files exported before this change, with plain tag names, still import.
Steps
- Go to Settings > Data > Prospects
- Under Import, click Choose File and select your
.csvfile - Click Import
After import, you’ll see a summary showing how many prospects were imported successfully and any rows that had errors.
Each row must have an email address or phone number. Rows missing both will be skipped and reported as errors.
