Searching and Filtering
The search box on the Advocates and Prospects lists does more than match names — you can filter by location, status, tags, and more by typing short filter tokens like location: and status:.
Not sure what you can type? Click the Search by button next to the search box for the full list, or use the filter dropdowns (Tag, Status, Contact) to point and click.
How tokens work
A token is a keyword followed by a colon and a value, e.g. status:active. You can combine tokens with each other and with plain text:

- Plain words (no colon) search names, identifiers, and bios.
- Wrap multi-word values in quotes —
location:"San Diego, CA",tag:"Ride Leader". - Tokens are not case-sensitive and can appear in any order.

Filter dropdowns
For the most common filters you don’t need to type anything — use the dropdowns beside the search box:
- Tag — filter by a tag (or “No Tags”)
- Status — active, pending, inactive (advocates also include map visibility; prospects include SMS opt-in/out)
- Contact (advocates) — with/without phone or email
These set the same tokens behind the scenes, so you can start with a dropdown and refine by typing.
