Changing your contact information

You can update the phone number or email address your community and prospects use to reach you. Your old, verified contact keeps working until the new one is confirmed, so a conversation never goes dark mid-change.


How it works

  1. Update your phone number or email from your advocate profile.
  2. We send a verification code to the new value.
  3. Until you enter that code, reminders and conversations keep using your current, verified contact.
  4. Once you verify the new value, it becomes your live contact.

An unverified change can be cancelled, which leaves your existing contact untouched.


If the code doesn’t arrive

Check that the new number or email is correct and that you can receive messages there, then request a new code. The code field accepts your phone’s autofill, so on mobile you can usually tap to fill it in.

If a community admin updates your contact for you, it takes effect immediately — no verification round-trip needed.
