Messaging Activity Log

See every text and transactional email your community has sent and received — and whether it actually reached the recipient — under Operations → Message Log.

What it shows

When an advocate or prospect says “I never got your text,” the Messaging Activity Log lets you check for yourself instead of opening a support ticket. Every message the platform sends or receives writes a row here, with the carrier-confirmed delivery status.

  • Searchable, filterable list — filter by channel, direction (outbound or inbound), delivery status, trigger type, recipient (name or phone), and date range.
  • Per-message detail — the full status timeline (queued → sent → delivered, or failed with the carrier’s reason).
  • Real carrier status — statuses come from the carrier’s own delivery callbacks, so a message that ends up undelivered hours later updates on its own.
  • Export CSV — download the currently filtered list, matching whatever channel, direction, status, trigger, or date filters are applied on screen.

Emails in the log

Wallet reward notifications, email verification codes, and inbox alerts are logged alongside texts, showing the subject line and the send time. Two differences from texts:

  • Email rows show as Sent, not Delivered — we record that the email left Stoked; bounce and open tracking isn’t wired up yet.
  • Inbox alerts go to the notification addresses you’ve configured rather than to a person, so those rows aren’t tied to an advocate or prospect.

Finding a specific message

You can reach the log from several places:

  1. Operations → Message Log — the full, filterable list.
  2. From a conversation or introduction — open the Delivery log section on the detail page to see every send attempt against that record.
  3. From a person — the Messages tab on any advocate or prospect shows everything sent to or received from them, with a one-click jump into the filtered Message Log view.

Delivery-failed alerts

When a message actually fails — a bad number, an opted-out recipient, or a carrier rejection — you don’t have to go looking:

  • The inbox card flips to a red Delivery failed pill.
  • The conversation or introduction detail page shows a yellow alert with the carrier’s reason.

The log starts collecting automatically — no setup required. For related settings, see Messaging Channels and Phone & SMS.
