Tap-to-fill verification codes on Android
ImprovementWeek of May 29, 2026
Entering a texted verification code on Android is now a single tap. When the code arrives, Chrome offers to fill it straight from the text message — matching the experience iPhone users already had.
- One-tap entry on Android — Chrome reads the code from the SMS, fills all six boxes, and submits automatically
- Works everywhere codes are used — prospect and advocate sign-in, plus confirming a phone number to start a conversation
- Tidier code boxes — the six digit boxes now sit inset from the card edges instead of running edge to edge
To make this work, the verification text ends with a short line like @yourcommunity.stokedhq.com #123456. That line lets the phone match the code to your site, which is what powers the one-tap fill — and as a bonus it helps phones flag codes sent from look-alike sites.
