Choose which pins a map shows, and how non-matching pins look
ImprovementWeek of November 4, 2026
Saved maps in Settings → Maps have a new Pins section.
- Show advocates, events, or both. An events-only map hides the filter buttons, since there’s nothing for them to filter. Embeds that use a saved map (
data-map) now show your public events too, since maps include events by default; choose Advocates only to keep them off. Embeds withoutdata-mapstill show advocates only. - Pin size. Make every pin on a map 50%, 75%, 100%, or 125% of the standard size.
- Pins that don’t match a visitor’s filters. Keep them on the map (smaller, in the non-matching color) or hide them. You can set their size and color per map; the color defaults to the one in Settings → Branding → Map.
- Smaller non-matching pins by default. Pins that don’t match a visitor’s filters are now 75% of the size of matching pins on every map, so matches stand out more.
Each setting also has an embed attribute (data-pins, data-pin-size, data-unmatched-pins, data-unmatched-pin-size, data-unmatched-pin-color) that overrides the saved map on one page. data-lock-filters="true" now hides filter buttons even when the saved map shows them.
