Browser autofill no longer blocks advocate applications
FixWeek of October 19, 2026
Our public forms include a hidden field that catches spam bots. Chrome’s autofill could fill that hidden field with the visitor’s email, so the form treated a real person as a bot: they saw a blank page and their submission was quietly thrown away.
- Advocate applications, messages to advocates, and event RSVPs are no longer affected by browser autofill.
- Spam protection keeps working as before.
