Self-serve GDPR tools: look up, export, and erase a person's data
FeatureWeek of June 20, 2026
You can now handle data-subject requests yourself, end to end, from Operations → Privacy & Data Requests.
- Look up a person by email or phone and see everything stored about them in your community — profile, conversations, messaging history, and Shopify orders.
- Export that footprint as a single JSON file to send to the person, fulfilling an access request.
- Mark handled to close an access request once you’ve shared the data, or Erase their stored personal data (with a confirmation step). Erasing always marks the request handled too; non-personal history (reward amounts, financial records) is kept.
From your Inbox, each “Customer data request” card has Download data and Review & handle — the latter opens Privacy tools with the person prefilled, where you mark it handled or erase.
No admin action required — the tools are there when you need them.
