Rich-text formatting and emoji in email body templates

Feature

Week of May 26, 2026

Email body templates now use a full rich-text editor instead of a plain text field. You can format the body of every automated email your community sends — application approved, wallet credits, conversation notifications, and more — with the same editor used elsewhere in the platform.

  • Bold, italic, underline — emphasise key information
  • Clickable links — embed named links instead of pasting raw URLs
  • Bullet and numbered lists — lay out next steps in a scannable format
  • Emoji — use the 😀 toolbar button to browse and insert emoji
  • Merge variables — all existing {{variable}} placeholders continue to work exactly as before

The Use Default Content toggle works the same way it always has: uncheck it to unlock the editor and write your own copy, then re-check it at any time to fall back to the Stoked default for that template.
