Email invitations for pending advocates
ImprovementWeek of November 5, 2026
Advocates who prefer email no longer miss out on getting started — both the invitation and the welcome now arrive in their inbox.
- Send invite from the admin portal — a pending advocate’s page now has a Send Invite button in the pending-activation banner (shown when the advocate has an email address). It emails them that your community has set up their advocate profile, with a button to sign in — which makes their profile live — and review it.
- Invite links you can send yourself — the advocate CSV export (Basic and Profile formats) now includes an invite_url column for pending advocates. Paste it into your own email or SMS tool; the link opens a claim page where the advocate picks the email or phone on file to receive their sign-in code. The link stops working once the advocate is activated.
- Welcome email on activation — advocates who are activated without a phone number now receive a welcome email with a sign-in link so they can review their profile. Advocates with a phone number still get the welcome text message as before.
Both emails are editable under Settings → Email Notifications → Advocate Notifications, with a live preview and send-test.
