Delivery outcomes recovered for older texts in the Message Log
ImprovementWeek of October 3, 2026
When the Message Log launched, earlier texts were imported so the history would be complete. That history only recorded that each text had been handed to the messaging provider, so every imported outbound text showed as Sent, whether or not it arrived.
The provider keeps each text’s final outcome for about 400 days. For imported texts inside that window, the log now shows the real result: Delivered, Undelivered, or Failed, with the reason and the time the provider reported it. No alerts are raised for these older failures.
Texts older than the provider’s window stay Sent, which for imported history means “sent, outcome not recorded”.
If you sync the message log through the API, the corrected records arrive on your next filter[updated_since] pull.
