Search advocates by ZIP, city, or address — no special syntax needed
ImprovementWeek of June 30, 2026
Searching advocates by location used to require the location: prefix (e.g. location:"90210"). Now you can just type the place.
- Type a place, get a location search — enter a ZIP code, city, state, or full address in the advocate search box and Stoked finds advocates near it, nearest-first. No
location:prefix or quotes required. - The search box shows how it was read — when a place is recognized, the box updates to the explicit form (e.g.
location:"43065"), so it’s clear the search ran as a location and you can tweak it. - Names still win — if what you type matches an advocate by name, identifier, or profile, you get that advocate. Only when nothing matches by text does Stoked treat the search as a place.
- Works beyond ZIP codes — because it uses the same lookup as the map, it understands cities, states, and addresses, including outside the US.
location:still works — if you include an explicitlocation:token, that’s used as-is and nothing is inferred from the rest of the search.
