Notification emails look right in Outlook and dark mode
ImprovementWeek of October 6, 2026
We audited every email Stoked sends against the major email clients and rebuilt them on one shared layout.
- Holds its shape everywhere — the 600px column and gray background now survive in Outlook on Windows, Outlook for Mac, Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail, and Proton Mail, where emails previously stretched edge to edge.
- Buttons that look like buttons in Outlook — “Reply”, “Sign In”, and the other buttons keep their padding instead of shrinking to a small box around the text.
- Dark mode — in Apple Mail and other clients that support it, emails switch to a dark palette with readable text instead of leaving gray text on a darkened background.
- Easier to read — button and footer colors are slightly darker to meet accessibility contrast guidelines, and emails now declare their language for screen readers.
- More useful inbox previews — the preview line shows the message itself (for example, the start of a prospect’s message) instead of repeating the heading.
- Inbox alerts include a plain-text version, like every other email.
