Caps on Reward Claims Per Subject and Per Advocate Window

Feature

Week of May 11, 2026

Communities running advocacy rewards now have two new guardrails on how often rewards can be claimed:

  • Per-subject cap. Limits how many rewards can be claimed against the same conversation or introduction. Prevents the same piece of work from being rewarded multiple times across different reward types or by different advocates.
  • Per-advocate rolling-window cap. Limits how many rewards a single advocate can claim within a configurable rolling window (e.g., 5 per week). Catches accidental over-claiming and unusual patterns before they hit the reward budget.

Configure both per activity definition under Settings → Wallet Configurations → Manage Activity Definitions → [Edit definition] → Claim Limits. Defaults preserve existing behavior on activity definitions you already had (no cap) — set explicit limits when you’re ready. New activity definitions default the same-record limit to 1.

When an advocate would exceed a cap, the Request button is disabled with a short explanation (“Already requested for this conversation” / “Reached your limit of 5 per Week”).
