Admins are now Team Members, and Settings has its own permission

Improvement

Week of August 10, 2026

Two changes to how access works in the admin portal:

  • “Admins” is now “Team Members” — the Settings page, its button, and its breadcrumbs all use the clearer name. Everything else about the page works the same way.
  • “Can manage admins” is now “Can manage settings” — the permission now controls access to the entire Settings section, not just team-member management. Team members without it no longer see the Settings link in the navigation, and Settings pages won’t appear in the command palette for them.

Anyone who could manage admins before can manage settings now — nothing to re-grant. Team members who couldn’t manage admins have lost access to Settings, and can still do their day-to-day work with advocates, prospects, conversations, the inbox, and operations. Grant them Can manage settings from Settings → Team Members if they need it back.
